Everest Gokyo Cho-La passes Everest Base Camp Trek is most adventurous trekking destination in Everest region. The Gokyo Lake and Cho-La Pass Everest Base Camp Trekking trail are also known as Everest circuit trekking. This route followed via high pass called Cho-La Pass at 5330m in Everest Base Camp. This trek start from Lukla day acclimatization in Namche Bazaar it followed the trail to Gokyo Lake. You will explore Glacier Lake around Gokyo valley two hrs climbing to the Gokyo-Ri 5480m. From where you can enjoy the stunning view of summit scenery including Mt.Everest, Mt. Makalu and Cho-Oyu.

Itinerary:

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

    Our Official representative received you transfer to hotel day at leisure evening shot briefing regarding your trek and same meet your trekking guide.

  • Day 2 : Fly to Lukla Trek to phakding

    arly morning drive to Domestic Airport to take a flight to Lukla this flight would be 45 minutes. Have a tea, coffee in Lukla. One hour rest at Lukla in Mountain Lodge. Then your trekking starts from Lukla. The trail contour through the Sherpa village and yak pasture land. Have a lunch in Thado Koshi (2591m) with the stunning view of Kum Kanguru (6370m). You will see the Painted Mani wall in Ghat (chhuthawa) village. In the late afternoon, you arrive at Phakding. O/n at a lodge.

  • Day 3 : Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3446m)

    Trekking start after breakfast at the lodge you shall cross a long suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River which originated from Khumbu glacier. You enter Sagarmatha National Park in Monjo village once you cross jorsale you followed the trail ahead alone the Dhudhkoshi River. You cross another suspension bridge I dobhan 2830m. From here the trail moves to steep staircase through pine forest. After half and hour steep walking you will see Mt Everest (8848m). The trail ascends until Namche Bazaar through the alpine forest. You will be the delight to see Namche Bazaar. The Namche Bazaar is the getaway of Everest base camp trekking. Night stay at Lodge.

  • Day 4 : Acclimatize at Namche Bazaar (3440m)

    Acclimatization around Namche. Hiking options include a short, steep climb to the Everest View Hotel Syangboche you can see the stunning of view Everest, Lhotse (8516m), Ama Dablam (6814m), Thamserku (8818m) or a long day visiting the Sherpa town of Thame Back to Namche.

  • Day 5 : Namche Bazaar to Dole (4200m).

    Trek start steep stone staircase over the Namche, the trail become easier and outline the Dudhkoshi valley same time you can see incredible Khumbu Valley with world highest mountains and Tengboche Monastery about 2-3 hrs hard walking you reach Sansa 3600m and Mong Danda 3973m. This is one of the best places to see the view of Mt. Ama Dablam and Thamserku with Dudhkoshi Valley. The trail climbs away from the Phortse Tenga passing through the Rhododendron and pine forest. After 20m steep climb first appears Cho- Oyu. You will cross the beautiful waterfall and yak pasture.

  • Day 6 : Trek Dole to Machhermo (4470m)

    You climb up through a scenic ridge above Dole, the trail climb via Lhabarma at 4220m to Luza 4390m. You can have rest and tea at Luza. From Liza, the trail becomes an up along the side of valley cross the high pasture land of chorten with prayers flags. Many writers saying yeti killed the Sherpa women and Yak here. From this hill enchanting view of eastern part Gokyo Valley, Mt. Taboche and Mt. Cholatse. Then walk down to Machhermo Valley.

  • Day 7 : Trek Machhermo to Gokyo Lake (4750m)

    The trail climbs the ridge of the valley excellent view of Kanga the big mountain Cho- Oyu, keep climbing up to Kharka. Where you find some stone house then the trail become easier to Pangka at 4380m. In 1995 bid avalanche came killed a lot of trekking people with local villagers. The trail becomes narrow and steep climb close to the Ngozumpa glacier.

  • Day 8 : Early morning climb to Gokyo-Ri (5340m). Rest of the day walking around a lake

    Having early breakfast before climb makes sure you have some cookies and water plenty of warm clothes. The trail goes straight ups directly above the Gokyo Lake about 2-3 hrs hard climbing to Gokyo –RI 5340m. From where you can see great Himalayan views of the world height mountain the Makalu Himalayan range batter than Kala Patthar above the gorekshep you will enjoy the Himalayan view and good picture if you still willing to walk you can hike to the oldest and longest glacier of Khumbu valley.

  • Day 9 : Gokyo Lake to Thangna Tharaka (5050m)

    Today we leave Gokyo to cross the Ngozumba glacier descending, looking at the views of the fine mountains and natural beauty, towards Thangna which is consider as the base of Cho -La Pass. It takes around four hours to reach Thangna Kharka from Gokyo Lake.

  • Day 10 : Thangna Kharka to Dzongla crossing Cho- La Pass (4930m).

    Star Our trek as early as possible as it is long trek we have to cross Cho- La Pass also have to make the long distance to reach Dzongla. You cross over at an altitude of 5300 meters. You could be exposed to strong winds if crossing too late. You start to climb steeply that is regularly used and easy to follow. However, the problem may arise due to the altitude and snow. It often causes terrible problems to cross the pass if it is covered by snow. As you reach the top, you are rewarded by the magnificent views then you descend to the Dzongla at evening.

  • Day 11 : Dzongla to Lobuche( 5000m)

    The trek continues along the moraine from Dzongla offer you the splendid view of Kalapatthar and Pumari before you get Lobuche.

  • Day 12 : Lobuche to Gorekhshep (5140m). Than Trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and back to Gorekh shep

    Beginning your trek along the flat trail through yak pasture walk in glacier the foot track is rough and snow in some part. You reach to Gorakshep at 5140m. Once you arrive Gorekshep by the time temperature will be10 – 15 degree Celsius you may feel tired even though you keep continue hiking to Everest base camp 5364m. As the trail is narrow and rocky so we suggest trekkers to concentrate their mind in the trail before stepping. The Everest Base Camp is keeping moving every year because Khumbu Glacier moving to down. In Everest base camp you cannot spend the night because there are no facilities of tea houses. Only people stay there at night in the camp that is climbing to Everest. Spent some time there takes picture for the memory back to Gorekshep.

  • Day 13 : Climb to Kalapatthar 5545m. Trek back to Pheriche 4240m

    Early morning start climbing to Kalapatther (5545m) after two 3 hrs climbing you will reach Kala patther where you get strong wind. Kalapatthar is one of the prime points of the massive view of Mount Everest (8848m). Enjoy the view of Mt. Everest and other towering mountains. After breakfast, you will back to the Pheriche same route.

  • Day 14 : Pheriche to Namche Bazaar 3440m

    From Pheriche, you will walk down hill Crossing River which is originally from Everest Base Camp. The trail descends through yak pasture land and the spectacular view of the Ama Dablam, Khantaga and Thamserku mountains after few hrs walking you get Tengboche Monastery which biggest monastery in the mountain region located at 3880m. The trail descends through the rhododendron and pine forest after crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi river the trail ascend to the Sannasa. From here the trail gradually descends to the Namche Bazaar.

  • Day 15 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla

    You will be walking through downhill crossing couple of suspension bridge and rhododendron forest.

  • Day 16 : Fly Back to Kathmandu from Lukla

    From the flight you will be seeing scenic view of Everest Himalayan Range and agricultural field jungle once you arrive Kathmandu we received from the domestic terminal refresh for some time UNICCO Heritage sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley

  • Day 17 :

    Transfer to Airport connecting flight to get home country Good luck.
