The seven days Bhutan Peace Full Dragon tour is flexibly planned to list some of the significant places that tourist must visit. On the day of your arrival, see sights around the Paro valley. Paro is rich with old holy buildings, monasteries, arts, and crafts. The street shops of Paro displayed the Bhutanese arts and wooden crafts which will stun your eyes. Tiger’s Nest Monastery has been getting popularity since years for hiking which will be your next day’s destination. After returning from the monastery, we will visit Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Continuing the tour, go sightseeing at Thimphu which carries the history of Bhutan. Bhutanese hospitality has engrossed foreigners to visit again to their land which you will experience. Eventually, drive to Punakha (the formal capital of Bhutan until 1955), Wangduephodrang, Gangtey (also known as Gangtey Sanga Choeling Goemba) and again to Paro will be continued along with following days.  Memorial Chorten, Tashicho Dzong, Paper factory, Punakha Dzong, Gangtey Monastery and Chimi Lhakhang are some of the significant places that we will be covering during the period of the tour.

Day 1: Arrival at Paro International airport and departure for sightseeing

  • Morning breakfast
  • Departure for a flight to Paro
  • Enjoy captivating view of mountains while flying
  • Arrival at the airport
  • Head towards the hotel with one of the representatives
  • Take rest for some time and get ready for sightseeing around Paro valley
  • Visit Rinpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang; the oldest temple and Drugyal Dzong located inside the valley
  • Explore the National Museum and Ta Dzong Museum
  • Stay overnight at Paro

Day 2:  Visit Tiger’s Nest Monastery and drive to Thimphu. 

  • Start of the day with morning breakfast at Paro
  • Orientation on hiking by your tour guide
  • Hike to the famous monastery of Bhutan; Taktsang also was known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery
  • Back to the hotel and rest for some time
  • After refreshment drive towards the capital city; Thimphu
  • Evening around the Thimphu shopping malls to see attractive Bhutanese arts and crafts
  • Stay at Thimphu at night

Day 3: Seeing the sights at Thimphu

  • Morning breakfast and departure for visiting the attractions
  • Third-day tour will start from Memorial Chorten’s visit which was built in the memory of third king (Jigme Wangchuk) of Bhutan
  • Visit Nunnery temple will be the next one
  • From there, we will head towards the radio station at the top of a ridge
  • Enjoy the view of the mountains and Thimphu on either side from the top
  • Furthermore, visit School of Traditional Paintings and Tashichho Dzong, National Library and Paper factory which hold charm for travelers
  • Move around the National Library and see the process of producing paper at the paper factory
  • Stay overnight at the capital

Day 4: Drive to Punakha and Visit the attractions

  • Take morning breakfast and drive towards Punakha
  • Check in at the hotel and rest for a while
  • Tour to Punakha Dzong which is known as one of the largest and important Dzong of Bhutan
  • Additionally, tour to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten which is famous for Bhutanese art
  • Overnight at hotel, Punakha

Day 5: Drive to Gangtey and Sightseeing

  • After morning breakfast, visit the village of Wangduephodrang; gateway to several other districts (popular for stone craftmanship)
  • Wangduephodrang is the home for dozens of significant religious sites and monasteries such as Gangtey Monastery
  • Enjoy the hospitality of multi-lingual people there
  • See the endangered Black-necked crane at Gangtey Monastery which is its habitat
  • On the way back to Punakha, spend time at the village of Phobjikha

Day 6: Tour to Chimi Lhakhang on the way to Paro
