It is one of the most fascinating trekking destinations in Nepal. The Mardi Himal trek is unfolding with the dramatic display of splendid snowcapped peaks, pristine forests of lovely rhododendron, oak and magnolia pines, green rolling hills, spectacular landscapes and panoramic Himalayas views. Trekking through the high ridges, verdant forests, terraced farms, dazzling rivers with persistent grandeur views of stunning Annapurna Himalayas and the Manaslu mountain range in the east, Dhaulagiri on the west with the towering south face of the Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) is really amazing to witness. Few trekkers only make their way to the Mardi Himal Base Camp and experience overwhelming and picturesque adventure. During our fascinating Mardi Himal trail, we can encounter with the warmth and generosity of the mountain people. Also we get a rare opportunity to observe their unique culture and traditions, along with the magnificent views of the Mt. Annapurna Ranges, Dhaulagiri, and Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchhare) on the backdrop of the area. Although the route is less used, the interesting and exotic trail wanders through lush valleys, dense forests, alpine meadows, waterfalls and numerous streams. 

This awe-inspiring Mardi Himal trek begins from the naturally blessed city called Pokhara with wonderful views and exciting boating in the famous Fewa Lake. During your trek, you can find various guest houses and homestays along the entire route that makes our trek worth visiting. The trail goes through the beautiful forest blend with pine, juniper and rhododendron and the striking rivers. The route takes us to steeply down to the upper Mardi Khola. Trekking in this undisturbed trail of the Mardi Himal is to experience the real wilderness zone of mountains. Mid Sept-October – November (Autumn Season) are the best seasons to visit this fascinating  Mardi Himal trek in Nepal.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Day 03: Trek to Pitam Deurali (2125m)
Day 04: Trek to Low Camp (3100m)
Day 05: Trek to Mardi Himal High Camp (3700m).
Day 04: Hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp and back to Low camp. 
Day 05: Trek to Sidding.
Day 06: Back to Pokhara.
Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Day 09: Kathmandu rest day
Day 10: Final Destination.


Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

  • Welcome you and transfer to the hotel.

  • Hotel check out

  • Take a rest and relax

  • Welcome dinner in the evening

  • Stay overnight in the hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing

  • Early morning breakfast.

  • Full day world heritage cultural tour.

  • Visit Pashupatinath temple, Swyambhu, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, UNESCO – World Heritage Site.

  • Take a short orientations class by our representative about next day trek.

  • Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Drive to Kande and trek to Pitam Deurali (2125m)

  • Morning breakfast.

  • Drive around half an hour to Kande.

  • Start trek the beautiful forest and reach to Forest Camp at the elevation of 1810m.

  • Trek steep until you reach to Dhampus and continue easy walk up to Pothana.

  • Stay in a teahouse lodge for the first night.

Day 4 : Trek to Low Camp (3,150m)- 5 hours trekking.

  • Morning breakfast.

  • Trek continues through the forest.

  • Ascend the vegetation by following the rhododendron, moss, lichen forest.

  • As you reach Low Camp and can enjoy the magnificent views of Mount Machhapuchhre and other stunning peaks.

  • Overnight at Low Camp.

Day 5 : Trek to High Camp (3,700m)- 4 hours trekking.

  • Morning breakfast.

  • Trek continue through the Low Camp and with the views of the Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.

  • The trail continues along the Mardi Himal ridge mainly on the grass with some isolated rhododendron bushes along the way.

  • Explore the colorful Danphe pheasant and further trek take us to the lodge at High Camp.

  • Enjoy the superb view from the lodge; Mt. Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

  • Overnight at High Camp.

Day 6 : Excursion to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m)- back to Low Camp.

  • Morning breakfast.

  • Trek continue for an impressive sunrise view of the mountains.

  • Trek through the ridge towards Mardi Himal Base Camp.

  • Witness grass fields, dzokpo (yak/ cow crossbreds) grazing and Danphe pheasant, sheep and goats.

  • Trek around three hours and reach Base Camp at the elevation of 4500m.

  • Enjoy the great view of the Mt. Annapurna Sanctuary, south face of Annapurna, Sanctuary peak as well as Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

  • Overnight at Low Camp again.

Day 7 : Trek to Siding village (1,750m) -6 hours walking.

  • Morning breakfast.

  • Today we will trek back to Siding Village

  • Trek through the down to Siding village, traditional Nepalese village.

  • Have a wonderful cultural experience finding out more about village life and you will probably eat dhal baht in the evening with the family in their kitchen.

  • Overnight at Siding.

Day 8 : Trek to Lumre and drive to Pokhara- 3 hours walking and 2 hours driving.

  • Morning breakfast.

  • Trek from Siding by passing village of Kalimati and Ghalel. Kalimati is mainly a Brahmin village with Ghalel and Siding mixed Brahmin and Gurung.

  • Drive back to Pokhara from Lumre.

  • Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 9 : Kathmandu rest day

  • Early morning breakfast.

  • Half day world heritage cultural tour.

  • Visit Pashupatinath Temple, Swyambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

  • Enjoy the day leisurely or catch up on some last-minute shopping.

  • Rest in the hotel and enjoy watching pictures which were captured in the trek.

  • Celebrate the successful completion of the trek and enjoy farewell dinner.

  • Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 : Final departure

  • Hotel breakfast and check out
