Mera Peak climbing also lets you hike to Kanchenjunga, Makalu to the east and Everest appears over the massive southern aspect of the Nuptse and Lhotse to the north, which is really amazing to witness. It is one of the highest and quite tough climbing Peak. Before starting trekkers should take a climbing training course and learn various aspects of climbing skills and techniques such as; rope fixing, ascending and descending in the straightforward climb, glacier travel and many more. Climbing training will surely boost your confidence and ensure all necessary climbing skills to scale the summit successfully.   
We begin Mera Peak Climbing with a scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. We start official climb through the remote village of Chutanga by following a forest mixed with pristine Pine and rhododendron trees. During our climb, the Chatara La Pass also offers us the spectacular views of the Kongdi Ri, Numbur Himal, Karyolang peak and many other mountain peaks.

Day 1: Welcome at Kathmandu Airport

  • Welcome you and transfer to the hotel.

  • Stay overnight in the hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 2: A full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the capital valley

  • Early morning breakfast.
  • Half day world heritage cultural tour.
  • Visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as; Hanuman, Dhoka Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath Stupa and so on.
  • A brief explanation about the further trek. (Afternoon trek briefing and trek gear distribution.)
  • Putting all the essential things in the bag.
  • Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Day 03: - Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2652m)

  • · Early morning breakfast.
  • · Flight to Lukla from Kathmandu.
  • · Almost 30 minutes flight offers you impressive mountains views including Mt. Everest and others stunning mountains.
  • · Whole day explore the Lukla.
  • · Overnight at Lukla. 

Day 4: Lukla trek to Chutanga (3200m

  • Morning breakfast
  •  Begin our trek officially from Lukla to Chutanga which is situated at the elevation of the 3200m.
  • Continue trek through crossing rhododendron and pine forest and small settlements.
  • The further trail will follow Kalo Himal Ridge and trek slightly ascent up to Chutanga through the beautiful rhododendron and pine forest.
  • Reach to Chutanga and stay Overnight over there.

Day 5: Chutanga trek to Chatara la (4500m)

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Continue trek ascending and reach to the Chatara la.
  • Enjoy spectacular views of Kongdi Ri, Numbur Himal, Karyolang peak and many other mountains peaks from Chatara la.
  • Overnight at Chatara la.

Day 6: Chatara La - Kothe (3800m)

  • Have early breakfast.
  • Continue trek towards Kothe which is situated at an elevation of the 3800m.
  • The further trek will pass the beautiful forest of Juniper, rhododendrons and local vegetation.
  • Encounter with the various mountain wildlife such as; sloth bear, jungle cat, and many more.
  • The further trek will follow Thakthor and reach to the Kothe.
  • Overnight at Kothe. 

Day 7: Kothe to Thagnak (4300m)

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Continue trek from the west bank of the river to Tangag (4,360m).
  • Enjoy with the splendid views of Kusum Kanguru peak, Mt. charpate and Mera La and many other neighborhoods Himalayas.
  • Explore a Buddhist Gomba in the lap of the big rock.
  • The further trek takes you to the Thagnak.
  • Overnight at Thagnak.  

Day 8: Thangnak to Khare (BC) (5000m)

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Begin trekking with the excellent valley views to the north of the Hinku Nup glacier and other stunning peaks.
  • The further trail descends slightly and crosses Dig Kharka and reach to Khare.
  •  In the Khare, you can practice glacier session where you can learn to use ropes and crampons.
  • Overnight at Khare.

Day 9: Acclimatization day in Khare

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Today is a rest day.
  • Trek around the entire village and capture the photos of cultural houses in Khare.
  • We will take a rest today and be prepared for tomorrow, climbing a Mera High Camp.
  • Overnight at Khare.

Day 10: Khare to Mera High Camp (5800m)

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Continue trek through the well-defined ridge, snow slope and quite steep and more technical trek to reach the summit.
  • Fix the rope and climb further to get successful summit of the Mera High Camp.
  • It takes around 2 hours to reach Base Camp.
  • Enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Baruntse, Kusum Kanguru and many other stunning peaks from Base Camp.
  • After a Successful High Camp climb, it makes us feel a sense of accomplishment.
  • Overnight at Mera High Camp.

Day 11: Exploration day

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Enjoy the view from the summit of Mera peak and exploring the surrounding.
  • View splendid Mountains.
  • Overnight at Mera Peak Camp.

Day 12: High camp-climb to Mera peak (6400m) back to Khare

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Continue trek to reach to your desired destination.
  • Trek in a quite tough straight ascend path.
  • Use the rope to climb up to the Mera peak.
  • Enjoy incredible views across to Baruntse (7129m), Chamlang (7319m) and Nau Lekh (6360m) with Makalu (8481m) looming behind.
  • As you reach to the summit of Mera peak, you will view a splendid view of Himalayas and take a picture to make lifelong memory in your life.
  •  After exploring the summit, you will retrace back down to High Camp and Khare.
  • Overnight at Khare.

Day 13: Trek back to Kothe

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Hike back to Kothe.
  • Around 7 hours you need to hike.
  • Reach Kothe through passing Tagnag.
  • Overnight at Kothe.

Day 14: Trek back to Thuli Kharka

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Continue trek through following new route to be back to Thuli Kharka.
  • Follow the beautiful rhododendron forest with beaten trail of Himalaya of Nepal; Mera peaks, Mera North, Mera Central, Mera South from Thuli Kharka.
  • Overnght at Thuli Kharka.

Day 15: Trek back to Lukla

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Trek down to Lukla through the rhododendron, fir, oak, juniper forest.
  • Follow the Dudh Koshi downhill and then we will trek out of the national park to the village of Phakding.
  • Enjoy the beautiful mountains view from Lukla valley such as; Cho Yu, Numbur Himal, Kongde peak, Kusum Khangru and many more.
  • Finish our exhilarating journey.
  • Overnight at Lukla.

Day 16: Day 16: - Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Take a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.
  • Around 30 minutes flight once offers us thrilling flight over forests, fields and beautiful settlements with the Himalayas in the background.
  • Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 17: Free day in Kathmandu and enjoy Farewell dinner

  • Morning breakfast.
  • Half day explore the entire city of Kathmandu.
  • Visit different religious and historical places in Kathmandu including Pashupatinath Temple, Soyambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Royal Kathmandu Durbar Square.
  • You can do some souvenirs shopping.
  • In the evening, you can enjoy a farewell dinner in the Nepali restaurant.
  • Overnight at the same hotel in Kathmandu.
