Annapurna Panorama trek is known as the Ghorepani  Poonhill trekking, it is a short trek close to Pokhara which gives you an opportunity to see the greatest view of the Himalayas. Ghorepani Poonhill trail passes through several interesting villages and different cultures. Ghorepani Poonhill circuit trek is popular trekking destination where you enjoy beautiful mountains view, culture and people of Annapurna region in short time. Ghorepani Poonhill trek start from Nayapul, some trekkers start from Dhampus Phedi also and end at Nayapul or Beni Bazaar. Ghorepani Poonhill trekking is arranged tea house. Annapurna conservation area project permit is required for Ghorepani Poonhill trek. Annapurna Base Camp trekking  can be done from Ghorepani Poonhill whole year round, it is possible even in winter and monsoon season.

Ghorepani Poonhill trekking it is not necessary  to have  any hiking and trekking experience, the just normal walking experience is enough for Ghorepani Poonhill trek. Best season for this trek is March to May and September to December but Ghorepani Poonhill trek can be arranged entire year. If given itinerary is not suitable for you, we also design another itinerary as per your desire and duration of holidays.   • Day 1 : Arrive Kathmandu then transfer to hotel 1300m

    Upon your arrival, our representative will be there to welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft). We will greet you transfer to hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 2 : Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation

    Today after breakfast we start a guided tour the most Historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu which are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. We visit the historic Durbar Square, sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is also one of the largest Stupas in the world. Included meal (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

  • Day 3 : Drive from Kathmandu to Nayapul Trek to Tekhidhunga.

    Early in the morning after breakfast, we will drive to Pokhara which takes 6 hours and then after that, we will drive to Nayapul, Trek to Tekhi Dhunga about 3 hrs. We pass through sub-tropical valley forests, sometimes on the carved trail on the side of the cliff. After lunch, we cross the Bhurungdi Khola (river) via a bridge to the village of Tikhedhunga. Overnight in Tekhidhunga. Included meal (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

  • Day 4 : Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani(2750 m).

    Early in the morning, a trek to Ulleri Hill with thousands of steps and boulders that continually go upward will really prove a test of our stamina. We reach Ulleri The trail goes to the dense forest of Rhododendron. Walk for 4~5 hours. we ascend to the Ghorepani village. We stop at the higher part of the Ghorepani village that offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains including Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains. Overnight in Ghorepani Included meal (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

  • Day 5 : Ghorepani to Tadapani (2700 m) with a visit to Poonhill

    An early morning we climb to Punhill at 3210m, from where we enjoy the long unbroken Annapurna range, fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, enjoy a cup of tea made by Local peoples. We return to Lodge after breakfast we descend all the way to Tatopani overlooking outstanding views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Magar Villages. Overnight in Tadapani Included meal (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

  • Day 6 : Tadapani to Ghandruk-(1940 m)Trek to Ghandruk for 3~ 4 hours from Tadapani.

    Trek to Ghandruk for 3~ 4 hours from Tadapani. From Tadapani, we make a steep descent through the dense and dark forest. This part of the trek will be through a thick forest of old rhododendron trees. Overnight in Ghandruk Included meal (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner).

  • Day 7 : Trek Ghandruk to Nayapul drive to pokhara

    Today we trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul then drive back to Pokhara. It keeps on going down almost without any breaks from Ghandruk until Modi Khola river valley. From Birethathi, a half-an-hour walk takes us to Nayapul. The journey on foot comes to an end at Nayapul. Overnight in Pokhara hotel.Included meal. (Breakfast/Lunch).

  • Day 8 : Pokhara half day sightseeing and drive or fly back to Kathmandu

    We will do sightseeing around Pokhara valley covering area Bindabasini Temple, Devi’s Fall, Mahendra Cave, Seti river gorge around Lake. Then at 1~2 pm back to Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel Included meal (Breakfast)

  • Day 9 : Final Departure

    We will drop us off at the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. We wish you a happy journey back home and hope to see you again.

Travel information

Nepal Travels will send you the list of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek Packing List specifically required for this trekking once your booking is received with us. But in the meantime consider buying some good walking boots and start wearing them in . . . now. No technical kit is required; though a good 3 season plus sleeping bag will be much appreciated at the higher altitudes. In Lower elevations lodge provide quilts and blanket and you can pile it up on your sleeping bag but as we go higher towards Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, there are limited lodges and trekkers are expected to have a good sleeping bag.

People and Culture

The locals people will encounter in Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking Route are mix ethnic groups; there are Brahmans and Chhetris in lower elevations and Mongoloid Himalayan people in Himalaya. Mostly there are Gurung and Magar people in the area, famous for Gurkha regiment. If you would like to explore more cultural and traditional heritages in Himalaya then Wilderness Excursion suggest you trek to Langtang, Manaslu, and Everest region. But no doubt that Annapurna is the best for scenery as some 55000 people trek there every year.
