If you want to go hunting in the Nepalese Himalayas there is only one hunting reserve, the Dhorpatan Hunting is one of the famous hunting reserves in Nepal. It covers 1325 km2 (512 sq mi) in the Dhaulagiri Himal of western Nepal in Myagdi, Rukum, and Baglung Districts. Situated at the altitude of 2850 to 5500m (9350 to 18040ft.), the Dhorparten Hunting reserve lets you to witness 58 vascular plants, marshland, forest landscape, flat meadows, flowering plants including 36 endemic species, 18 mammal’s species like Musk Deer, Blue Sheep, Red Panda, snow leopard, and many more. Apart from this wildlife, you can also get chances to see 137 bird’s species including Cheer Pheasant, Koklass Pheasant, and Impeyan pheasant along with two reptile species and so on.

This popular Dhorpatan hunting reserve is established in 1987 and its management team has put its objectives of the reserve which allow sports trophy hunting for the Hunters and outfitter preserve a representative high-altitude ecosystem in western Nepal. This Hunting reserve has divided into six hunting blocks in order to make a best hunting trophy sport and end poaching preserve a representative ecosystem.  It is one of the best destinations for the hunting reserve that able to fulfill the desired of adventure hunters who were getting chances to hunt Himalayan Tahr, Blue sheep, and some game animal Leopard, Serow, Himalayan Black Bear, Barking Deer, Muntjac and Wilbour and so on in the past. However, in the present, only four rare and endangers animals are allowed to hunt in this reserve area, they are a Red panda, Musk Deer, Wolf, Cheer Pleasant and Danphe.

Nepal Travel Expedition donates 10% of its annual revenue to Sherpa Outdoor Foundation Orphan Children Home Which is Located in Lalitpur one can visit while you are in Nepal after or before the trip.  We support Children's for Food, School, Clothes, Medicine also supporting stationery materials to Government School which is located at Lamjung district trying to build a library for them where they could find a different book to read. For this project, we are trying to collect donations.

One of the major activities of Sherpa outdoor Children home in Lalitpur is fully conducted and collaborate with Nepal Travel Expedition and sister concern organization Nepal wildlife safari. The Volunteering concern programmed delivered by Nepal Travel Expedition and Sherpa Outdoor Foundation aims to mobilize a team of experts and interested individuals as an economic measure in providing human capital for education, health, community to share teaching skill various Government school in a different part of the country and community to delivered humanity skills also in our children home.
